When longstanding client Virgin Mobile USA asked us for a series of How-To Videos to explain various aspects of their mobile phone accounts, we came up with a number of great concepts, including the winner: "This ___ Knows How." The idea: if this guy- or gal-next-door could use their account, anyone could. We scripted a series of ten characters, shot still photography, supplemented the shots with illustrations and phone animations, and edited everything together stop-motion style for a series of ten unforgettable and fun videos. Not only did I manage the entire project, from concept and design phase, to post production, to coordinating with the client, and posting the final videos on YouTube, I also produced the shoot. I did everything from from casting models and voiceover talent, to hiring and managing the hair and makeup stylist, from styling the wardrobe and props myself, to coordinating all cast and crew with our in-house photographer and studio, all with client approval and within client budget.
