For five years, I have run the day-to-day account work for the AIC Hotel Group. This includes all advertising/marketing projects targeting both consumer and trade audiences for their four brands: the all-inclusive Hard Rock Hotels, UNICO Hotel Riviera Maya, Eden Roc Miami Beach, and Nobu Hotels. While I oversee the team that runs all collateral, websites, social media, print and digital ads, and eblasts, my main focus is on videos. When a new amenity pops up at one of the hotels, when a new hotel isn’t built yet but bookings are needed, when a new trade program needs to be explained, the best way to get the word out is through video. We’ve been tasked with so many videos over the years that I can’t even include them all here. My role varies with each project, but I’ve run these all from estimate to invoice and had my hand in every step of the way. My number one priority is making sure the client needs are met—on time, on budget, and on brand—all while considering my company’s bottom line. From concepting and pre-production planning to production schedules and post-production direction, each project is different but the overall process remains the same. I learn something new with each project and take the learnings from each experience with me as I go.

When longstanding client Virgin Mobile USA asked us for a series of How-To Videos to explain various aspects of their mobile phone accounts, we came up with a number of great concepts, including the winner: "This ___ Knows How." The idea: if this guy- or gal-next-door could use their account, anyone could. We scripted a series of ten characters, shot still photography, supplemented the shots with illustrations and phone animations, and edited everything together stop-motion style for a series of ten unforgettable and fun videos. Not only did I manage the entire project, from concept and design phase, to post production, to coordinating with the client, and posting the final videos on YouTube, I also produced the shoot. I did everything from from casting models and voiceover talent, to hiring and managing the hair and makeup stylist, from styling the wardrobe and props myself, to coordinating all cast and crew with our in-house photographer and studio, all with client approval and within client budget.

When we were tasked with rebranding Comcast SportNet's We Live Philly Sports campaign, we pitched an idea that put the 3-dimensional tagline right in the middle of the action on the field, to really show how close CSN is to their sports teams. In order to capture this feeling in a unique way, we needed original photography. I coordinated this shoot with the photographer, client, and our agency. The client, CSN, used their connections to coordinate the locations: Lincoln Financial Field, Citizen's Bank Park, and the Wells Fargo center. Once the images were captured, I managed the retouching process with the photographer and our internal art directors and production artists, and the design process in which we turned this stunning photography into billboards, ads, bus side and bus tails, web banners and more.

The South Jersey Field of Dreams, a local baseball league for physically and mentally disabled children, asked us to help them come up with a special way to thank their generous donors. We thought it would be great to produce a set of baseball cards featuring their players. We invited a handful of the kids to come into our in-house studio, where we made them feel like all-stars in front of the camera. The Field of Dreams loved the photos so much we ended up printing posters and featuring the photos in their monthly newsletter, in addition to the baseball cards.

For six years, the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tampa asked us to concept and produce their Hard Rock Girls Calendar. Each year, our charge was to create something new that we hadn't done before. There were years that we shot against a backdrop and designed a background later; some years we shot on location at the Hotel & Casino; other years we took the production off-site to a studio or to the beach. Mixing it up from year to year certainly made things challenging, fun and refreshing for our team. No matter where we shot the calendar, it was my job to schedule and coordinate the client's team and my creative team with the photographer and his assistants, the hair and makeup stylists and the custom wardrobe stylists, and the location--all of this with deadlines and budget concerns in mind. Once the shoots were done, we worked to design the entire calendar and get files off to the printer in time for the sales release.

Virgin Mobile USA hosted FreeFest for many years. This was a "free" concert where ticket donations went told homeless youth initiatives. At two FreeFests, VMU asked us to help them find and manage photographers to shoot real fans enjoying the concerts. I managed the process of hiring photographers, compiling the creative brief, conducting the Pre-Pro meeting and check-ins throughout the day during the festival, and the post shoot photo selection and retouch process. Managing four photographers during a live event was challenging, but oh-so fun and rewarding.

While my passion is for managing photo & video productions, I've managed much more than that. As Account Danager, I've run branding (logos and identity) and print projects (mailers, booklets, invitations, ads, calendars, menus, and more collateral), along with outdoor (billboards, bus shelters, car wraps, and train & subway ads) and digital (eblasts, banner ads, and websites). From client kick-off to budget estimating, from managing design, copy and production teams to coordinating the printing or development process, right up to creating and sending the final invoice, I've managed countless projects from start to finish.
As a creative agency, 1 Trick Pony is always looking for ways to promote itself by showing off our work. We make sure to shoot any products we're expecially proud of, so we can share them socially or submit them for awards. I've been helping with various aspects of these shoots from day one -- anything from scheduling, planning, propping, and styling product shoots.

Before leaving the advertising industry, I was fortunate to work with Truity. I handled a variety of projects, ranging from branding and social media to a website redesign and video production. The Truity videos were fun projects. We had a small budget and managed to use stock photos or video shot in-house by Truity. We added music, voiceovers, graphics, animation, and sound design to bring these assets to life in a fun, aesthetic, and on-brand way.
